Nursery Ministry
If you have a child under 2 years of age, our church offers a clean, comfortable, and well staffed nursery for all services. Our intention is to enable parents and others in the service to be able to be attentive to the message while not having to care for a child who is too young to understand the message.
Children’s Ministry
Children’s ministries are provided for children above nursery age on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. While some entertaining things take place in these particular programs, our primary emphasis is the teaching of the Bible in an age appropriate fashion. The fact that we do not have a Sunday evening children’s program does not mean children are not welcome. Sunday night preaching service is very well attended and we seek to have the children become accustomed to the preaching and design of the services.
Youth Ministry
Our teens meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 for prayer, preaching, fun and fellowship together. Many of the young people at FBC serve in some ministry of the church as well. Most months there will be an activity for the youth. A highlight of the year is a week of summer Bible camp.
Young Adults
Our church has been blessed with many young couples and singles. They meet for Sunday school at 10:00 a.m. and have regularly scheduled activities throughout the year. First Baptist Church is a great place to connect with other young adults. For those with children this is a great place to connect with other kids who share your beliefs.
Seniors
Our Senior Adults meet for Sunday school in the church’s main auditorium. Each month some event is scheduled for our seniors to fellowship together. These range from cookouts to going on the road to visit unique places around the great state of Michigan.
Bridge to Recovery
Bridge to Recovery is the addictions ministry of our church. The focus is to assist people with various forms of addictions and stubborn habits. These include but are not limited to alcohol, narcotics, pornography, gambling, anger, abuse, etc. This is a faith based addictions ministry with its own complete curriculum that is based on practical application of the Bible. Please contact Pastor Daniel Fetter at 231-734-6172 for more information.
Outreach
The great responsibility of the local church is taking the gospel message to the lost. We believe this responsibility is to be practiced on a personal level and the church helps to facilitate it on a corporate level. We have scheduled times for bus calling, visitation, and door to door soul-winning. Our Sunday school teachers and workers make evangelism a high priority and our church services are designed to be of an evangelistic nature. We want every ministry of First Baptist Church to have the priority of reaching the lost at its core.
Music
If you have a talent in the area of music, FBC has a special music program, Junior bell choir, and adult choir to complement our congregational singing.
Bus
The bus ministry of First Baptist Church actively seeks to bring people to church from our immediate area. Those in need of a ride can call our church office and make arrangements for a pick up. The bus provides a fun, energetic, and safe ride to church. Our workers are anxious to serve you and we hope to hear from you soon.
Missions
We believe it is the role of the local church to send and support missionaries around the globe. First Baptist Church supports the following missionaries, training institutions, and those training for full-time Christian service.
